My grandfather and my mother instilled my love of working with my hands and of using the objects around me to create useful things. My father instilled the stubbornness to never quit. Now that I’ve found the joy of creating beauty from a shapeless handful of clay, I’ve worked hard each day to become more skilled potter. My goal is to find the perfect pot and to acquire the skill to create it. I firmly believe that I need to learn and do something new every day toward fulfilling that goal. Finding porcelain, crystalline glaze, and the many generous, skilled potters who have mentored my growth has brought great joy to my life
