Keynotes are boring

Adults don’t learn by being talked at; they learn by doing. With Dynamic Fundraising Training, I’ll talk with your audience not to them. Using the best principles of professional development, I never lecture for more than eight minutes before doing a pair-shair, a breakout session, a table discussion, chats in Zoom, polls, post-it note exercises or a teach back from the audience. If the goal is to come away from the training or conference with a new skill, a different approach, or a different way to fundraise, Dynamic Fundraising Training is for you. I focus on concrete skills, real-life examples, and job aids you can take back to your desk, not vague generalities.

Why? Because I’ve sat through too many boring development conferences and keynotes during my career where I learned little and took nothing back to the office. Dynamic Fundraiser Training was born from the thought ‘there must be a better way’.

I don’t do keynotes. I do training, so you do learning.

If there’s one word to describe Anne Melvin, it’s dynamic.

Her trainings will inspire your fundraisers to climb to new heights. She’s fun, energetic, practical, down-to-earth, and offers concrete, road-tested solutions to the kinds of challenges front line fundraisers face daily. Whether you’re looking for a presenter to add spark to your next conference or a trainer to help your fundraising staff acquire critical skills, Anne’s 25+ years of experience in fundraising and teaching fundraising skills may be the answer you’re looking for.

You can pick from a roster of presentations and trainings honed to perfection, or work with Anne to create a custom training for the specific needs of your staff, volunteers or board. Either way, Anne’s combination of real-life fundraising experience married with expertise in adult education will help your audience go from learning to doing. And after all, isn’t that what you’re hoping to get out of a training?

You need professional development for your staff, but don’t have a trainer on staff.

You need Anne.

On-site professional development is a great concept—in the for-profit world. But we live in the fundraising world and few fundraising shops have staff for that. That’s where I come in. I can help plug the gaps in your most critical training needs to help accelerate your fundraisers and managers to the next level.
